Installing History Patrol
The below contained manual will guide you step by step through the process of installing History Patrol on your computer.
Step Seven
To complete the History Patrol installation, click NEXT to install the program.
The program will now install itself on your computer. There may be a slight pause lasting 10 seconds or more at the beginning of the install process which is normal as the program detects your settings. A status screen like the one below will show you the progress.
Step Ten
Finishing the Installation Process
History Patrol is now ready to run on your system. To finish the process, click the FINISH button.
Step Two
Click on the RUN button as shown below.
Step Three
Once the download is complete, a Windows security warning screen will come up which is standard when downloading and installing any software program. Click the RUN button as shown below.
Depending on your system and internet connection speed, History Patrol will take approximately 45 seconds to download with a high speed connection and approximately 5 minutes to download it using a dial up connection.
Step Four
The opening screen of History Patrol will now open on your system. Click the NEXT button to continue.
This screen will then come up. Click NEXT to continue.
Step Five
These are standard terms of the user agreement. To continue, you will need to accept the user terms by selecting the I ACCEPT button. Once you have done this, click NEXT.
Step Six
History Patrol will automatically install your program on your C: drive unless you tell it to install it in a different location. Unless you have a reason to install it somewhere other then the default location, just click NEXT to continue as shown below.
Once History Patrol has finished the installation process, this screen will come up. Click on NEXT to continue.
Step Eleven
To run the History Patrol program, click the Windows Icon in the bottom left hand corner of your screen on Windows Vista, or the START icon in Windows XP.
Step Twelve
Click ALL PROGRAMS at the Bottom of your menu screen and then select PATROL SOFTWARE, and then select HISTORY PATROL. The program will now load and you are ready to use the application.
