Identity Patrol Tools
Identity Patrol features a built in system to identify what programs are being loaded into your computer when you turn it on as well as what items are being loaded into your browser when you open Internet Explorer. The program also allows you to block any application or item that you don't want to install. This can be helpful to speed up your start up speed as well as to prevent any rogue tools being installed onto your browser.
The below screen shot shows the start up programs that load when the computer is started as well as the browser add ons that are currently installed on the computer.
Blocking a Program from Starting
If you want to prevent a program or add-on from loading or running on your computer, you can do so by highlighting the name of the program and then clicking the link that says BLOCK THIS START UP PROGRAM or BLOCK THIS BHO for the browser list. To unblock the program, do the same process, but click the UNBLOCK link instead.
